Donny Merchant
Lead Pastor
Pastor Donny began serving as our lead pastor on March 23rd 2025. Donny and his wife Sarah grew up here in the central valley in the Modesto Area and are happy to call Cornerstone Community Church and Stanislaus County their home. Pastor Donny has served as Youth Pastor and Worship Pastor in Bakersfield CA, before returning to Cornerstone as the Lead Pastor where he once also served as a Youth Pastor and Worship Leader. Donny and his wife Both graduated from college (where they met), at Southeastern University with Bachelors Degrees in Psychology. Donny also is currently pursuing his Masters of Pastoral Ministry from Northwest Nazarene University. Pastor Donny’s biggest mission and calling in life is to love God, and serve his community, he has a passion for people.
